A Fine City

Up reasonably early and I message Josephine to tell her the plans for the day and hope that we get to meet at some point. First stop is the Botanical Gardens, which were lovely – and, after coffee and cakes, wander about the Orchid Park - which I have to say is far more impressive than the one in KL's Tasik Perdana. It was bloody hot, but lovely with the island breeze blowing through my hair...

Several hours later I'm back in the city, and heading to the old Malay area for lunch in a café, who’s name I don’t remember but it was opposite this other place called Glam, where I’d much rather have been, even if only for the name.

I had a message that Jose was occupied for most of the day, and wouldn't be able to meet up until the evening, so time to explore the Marina and listen to live music on the river front whilst watching the sun go down. Perhaps I should have bought my camera after all, so a mad rush back to the hotel in a cab to pick it up and then back to the Marina to take lots of sunset and dusk photos along the river.

It’s a lovely place, but a bit dull as you are not allowed to do anything according to all the “no” signs, which if you ignore, you get fined...
