Snorkelling And Sunburn Spots

Up fairly late after last night and head to breakfast (too late) so we have some food in the local café – and despite me wanting a hard boiled egg, and telling them to cook for 5 minutes, I still get these very raw runny eggs which made my stomach leap. Food done, we head to the same spot as yesterday afternoon (after me buying some snorkelling stuff) and more bathing – though we were both a bit burned from yesterday… I decided that I’d spend time in the water, as the sea would protect me.

I spent most of the late morning and afternoon swimming amongst the fish and then realised that my back and shoulders were red raw. I also noticed that I have white spots there too, and on my chest – URGH! I am diseased! I think it might be due to sunburn, but it looks horrible. Oh well, time for another drink...

We bought some stale bread to feed the fish with too, and I sat with the snorkelling kit on underwater feeding them – they were amazingly tame and swam right up to my face, nibbling the bread from my hands – what an amazing experience. I was burnt, though, and my assumption that the water would protect me from the sun was completely wrong…had there been lobsters in the sean, you wouldn't have been able to tell the difference...

Sore and tired, we headed back to the room for a freshen-up before heading back for some dinner and then onto cocktails in the Laguna bar along the way, again listening to the singer there (same as last night). We handed her some requests, and she assumed we were together, so dedicated a few songs to “Chris and Elynn”, which was rather amusing. She came over to chat to us later on, and Elynn was telling her that she was going to Hong Kong and did events management, so gave her a name card asking to contact…

I doubt she will.
