Malaysian Airlines - What A Load Of Shit

Part of being on a global assignment means you get a flight to get to your destination and one to get you back home at the end (plus a few in between as part of an allowance, but that's irrelevant here).

My end-of-assignment flight was booked for the 18th December, but as I managed to extend by a few weeks to tidy things up, I wanted to move this flight to the end of January. Unfortunately, as I had moved it several times before, the last time they gave me a non-changeable one so I was had to use it in December, or lose it.

MAS Cunt "we've cancelled your ticket"

Before I knew this, I used my Malaysia Airlines Enrich points to book flights to travel home for Christmas (economy class as I was paying), using all the points I'd collected over the time I'd been out here, so it was practically free. Hmm... travel economy on this flight to the UK, or use my business class end-of-assignment one? Decisions decisions...

As I checked in to the business class one in KLIA, Malaysia, I explained to the MAS representative that there was another flight booked under my name a couple of days later, but as I'd lose this business class ticket if i didn't use it, I am not going to use the economy outbound one - but I will be returning on the inbound. 

"No problem, should be fine", they said. 

... Two weeks later...

I called MAS to confirm my details for the flight as it wouldn't let me chose my seat online. "Oh that's because we've cancelled your return ticket as you hadn’t used the outbound"

Boo hoo - not travelling business...

What utter cunts! They didn’t even let me know by the mandatory telephone number and email that you need to leave with them 'in case we need to get in touch with you' either, and I have to re-book (and re-pay) for a flight tomorrow in scum class. 

Bollocks. 

I knew I shouldn't have trusted that MAS representative on KL...
