For my last night in Kuala Lumpur, Arif’s arranged something with a couple of friends for this evening… I have a suspicion that it’s karaoke (and
it is!) but to be honest, I am so hungover after a final FINAL farewell drink or 2 (bottles) with Adrian last night, I don’t really care. Thing is, I have
no idea how karaoke can be fun without alcohol, as the two are usually so intrinsically linked.
At first, the Red Box place in SoGo was fully booked until 9 pm
(three hours away) and at first someone in the group suggested that we just wait, but was overruled. So we head to another Red Box venue in Low Yat where there were plenty of booths available. Actually it was a lot of fun, and I soon overcame my reluctance to hold a microphone and kept hold of it for practically the whole three hours, murdering songs along the way.
I
was also going to write here that I was rather pleased that Arif’s singing voice is probably only slightly better
than mine. But I won't.
Haha!
